Mr. Sudhir Man Shrestha, Senior Advocate, is a Senior Partner and Mentor  at Kusum Law Firm. Mr. Shrestha, who spearheads the firm, has worked at Kusum Law Firm for more than 35 years.

Mr. Shrestha is executive member of Nepal Law Society’s Executive Committee. Mr. Shrestha is also Reader of Nepal Law Campus.

He has reached a significant milestone by becoming the very first Nepalese attorney to hold an executive post in the International Bar Association’s (IBA) Pro Bono and Access to Justice Committee.

Moreover, he has participated as a Panelist at the IBA’s Conference and is authorized Notary Public to interpret legal documents from Nepali to English and vice versa.

Mr. Shrestha has significant legal as well as transactional experience in a broad range of constitutional, civil, criminal, banking, corporate, private equity and foreign investments.

His credentials are:

  1. a) Diploma-in-Law from Tribhuvan University in 1982; placed second in the university overall.
  1. b) LL.M.  from Patna University, 1985.
  1. c) Four weeks of intensive project finance, construction contracts law, international commercial arbitration, and international trade and finance law teaching conducted by an Australian professor and attorneys (1998).
  1. d) GCCL (1999,University of Queensland, Australia).

Mr. Shrestha’s Legal Experience are the following:

  1. a) A previous member of the Supreme Court Bar Association’s Executive Committee.

  1. b) Delivering lectures on a number of commercial law-related issues to graduate-level law students at Tribhuvan University. Currently delivering talks on the legal facets of banking.

  1. c) Providing views and a variety of professional services to a wide range of local and international corporations, foreign governments and governmental entities, and people, as well as representing these clients in legal procedures in and beyond the Kathmandu valley.

 

  1. d) Acted as a Pro Bono Advocate before the Supreme Court
